[Tutorial] How to write IMEI to HTC using fastboot
(17-09-2018, 02:11 PM)murch Hi Juvette, again, thanks for your support.
Actually, as menitoned in previous posts, I've already flashed official ruu and got back to stock rom with stock kernel. Imei still incorrect. So I (re)unlocked bootloader (not sure if it's actually properly unlocked, please see my previous posts) by flashing unlocked hboot 3.32 revolutionary firmware, tried again fastboot oem writeimei but again, even if getvar imei gives the right imei, after rebooting phone exiting fastboot mode, wrong imei is back. So I've flashed twrp recovery and (re)rooted the phone, so to be able to execute again command
adb shell
su
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb
But when I use that command nothing happens. Phone still appears in device manager as either android usb device or htc phone (depending on which PC I try it: in the former case, no htc drivers are installed, whilst in the latter there are htc drivers installed).
I already have qualcomm drivers ready to be installed as soon as I manage to enable diag mode on the phone and have it appearing on my pc either as unknown device or qualcomm device w/ drivers to be installed though...
I've also tried running that adb command after enabling qxdm (fastboot oem enableqxdm 1), command is run succesfully in fastboot mode but I'm not sure if effectiveness of this command is affected by a bootloader that doesn't seem to be properly unlocked, similarly to what I'm experiencing with fastboot oem writeimei command...
In any case, I've now (re)disabled qxdm with command fastboot oem enableqxdm 0 .
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Again thanks a lot!
BTW, even you think I can send you some reports that might be of help to solve this (logcat, others?), please let me know!
