Hi guys, i have been facing very frustrating issues with my infinix hot 3 a.k.a x554 16+1 A2 phone.
The problem is that, the phone has refuse to accept any kind of flash firmware (stock/custom).
I have tried everything that i know about flashing but keep getting the same error and even gave it to a friend who has infinity MTK Box, still couldn't get the phone on.

What happened is that, i was using it when i decide to put in my other sim card into sim 2 slot, that's all that i did and the phone stuck at "Infinix" boot logo. It does not restart just stuck there until i decide to remove the battery to switch it off.

This is what i have tried so far;
1. I have changed new charging port of the phone.
2. I made a friend tried it with a box but gives error.
3. Tried all the firmware on this forum and beyond
4. Tried A2 and A1 version of stock rom and custom rom and recovery all failed to flash (Out of frustrating).
5. I tried to flashed it with several pcs (5 pcs to be precise) and on different windows version.
6. Changed different cables and ports on different pcs.
7. Tried flashing with/without battery.
8.Different kinds of VCOM and MT65xx drivers and my more have also been tested with.

The condition of the phone;
a.Stuck at Infinix logo
b.Battery fully charged

NOTE: I have successfully flashed it with SP Flash Tool before when i forgot my gmail account.

The error i normally get with SP Flash Tool is "ERROR: S_FT_DOWNLOAD_FAIL (4008)"
Please if anyone have an idea how i can flashed my phone successfully i will appreciate it.

Just a thought: I was thinking maybe it's a hardware fault which i have not much idea about.
Please prove me wrong if it's not hardware problem because i have tried everything possible i could.

i will attach a screenshot of some pics.

Hi thanks for the replay.I realized all the methods in the link wasn't possible with the exception of looking on the phone's board. As I said earlier I have flash the phone before with a firmware which I didn't take note of the original firmware.
When I opened the phone I found some couple of numbers which I believe we could derive to get the original build number;
1. HL-W90918A1-MAIN-V1.0 (from the phone's board)

2. W90918A2
160408
16G+8G
(Phone's board)

3. 20160421A (Phone's cover)

Lets put flashing a side a while.
1. Can it enter recovery mode
2. Did you also try a factory reset in recovery mode
3. Is there an option to enter Bootloader while in recovery mode
4. Since you've been unable to flash to the phone, have you tried reading into using a box (miracle box or your friend's cm2)?

I have rooted the phone when it was working (which i believe didn't cause the problem), so i have teamwin TWRP 3.0.2 installed.
i usually goes to recovery by pressing volume -(down) + power button.
But since the phone refused to boot, i don't know why but i can't enter the recovery again. It just stuck at the teamwin boot logo and nothing more unless i remove the battery.
The recovery is also behaving like how the phone behaves, they just stuck at their respective boot logos.
Back to your questions;

1.No it can't enter recovery.
2.No i can't enter recovery mode so can't factory reset it.
3.No. Normally i will press the volume down and insert the usb cable to enter fastboot mode and then boot to bootloader.
   But since the phone begins to freeze, when i want to enter fastboot with the same volume down and cable it will boot to recovery           mode which will not succeed because it freezes at the teamwin logo.
   I tried using the volume up and cable but it will boot up the phone with no fastboot or bootloader.
4.This too is NO. But he told me something like, the only thing the phone respond to is to read the "phone info" that is the partition
    blocks (i think, am not sure of this but i will confirm with him what the phone only respond to).
    Apart from that any options like dumping,flashing, unlocking and others eventually fails after some few seconds.

i will attach screenshots later. thanks

your method of entering recovery mode i.e vol down + power is peculiar to spd devices, are you certain this device isn't a clone?
launch device manager on the pc >>
remove / reinsert the battery on the phone >> hold vol down button on the phone then connect the phone to the PC using usb cable
what does the phone get detected as?

Hi, i have in the attachment below the series of test and my new findings.
i made sure that attachment follows in order what happened when i try adb/fastboot stuff

1. indicate when i first pressed volume down + cable but it changed after a few seconds to attachment (2)
2. in attachment no. 2 u notice that there's no device detected and after a few seconds in attachment no. 2, it changed to attachment no.3
3. this attachment shows the com port being changed from 'MTK USB Port to MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM'
4. then after some short seconds the comport disappears and then 'Android ADB Interface' will be detected
5. and within the same instance attachment no. 5 will confirm the adb interface detected.
6. i see MTP but there's nothing like the phone's storage being detected

NOTE: from attachment no. 4 the winteam TWRP recovery boot logo will stuck and nothing.

8. this attachment show how i identify the phone under adb command as 'recovery mode'
9. when i tried 'adb reboot' nothing happened just a blinking cursor at where i have marked with the blue pen
10."adb reboot bootloader" does nothing than a blinking cursor.
11."adb reboot fastboot" does nothing
12.i tried to see if it will detect it as a fastboot device but it didn't

then i found something quite strange like the phone actually responded to that command which i guess wasn't successful.
13.this attachment the output of "adb shell"
14. after 'adb shell' i entered this command 'recovery --wipe_data' which gives some funny output. base on my understand of the output,
      it was doing something about 'screen brightness' instead of 'wiping user data' but i might be wrong.

Note: i tried to use volume up + cable but nothing important. the phone tries to boot but stucks as usual.
