If you're having issues rooting your tecno Camon C8,with build C8-H352-A2-L-20160118 or the likes, try downloading the TWRP 3rd variant I just ported mine and it was a success!!!

Hello admin, thanks for this thread it has really helped a lot but I have issues concerning my tecno L5. I succeeded in flashing the TWRP recovery but every time I try to update the superuser zip from my SD card, it keeps replying "installation aborted". Please I need help on this. Thanks

you're still on stock recovery
* reflash twrp for l5 using the first post on this thread
* ensure to see https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-10992.html for How to prevent TWRP recovery from automatically getting replaced by Stock recovery

Thanks Xenon. I did flash the TWRP to it twice but is there a way I could confirm if the TWRP had been flashed on the phone.

when you boot to recovery mode.. you should see TWRP recovery instead of "stock recovery ae"

I didn't see it. I only selected recovery and later got to a page that displays an android lying on its back and wrote "No command". And I still get this installation aborted response
