My ibm desktop with windows last xp refused to boot after a power loss and i inserted a windows cd and doesnt show a menu to boot from cd.what might be the problem?

* whats the exact error the PC is giving?

* to get the PC to boot from CD you have to change the boot order in the BIOS
** to enter BIOS, restart the computer once the display lights up you have to immediately press the BIOS setup key. In most cases this key is either f2 or f10 or del

NOTE: it is assumed that you are using a bootable windows cd and that your CD-ROM is working properly
