How to Play MKV Files on Samsung Smart TV

(This post was last modified: 08-10-2016, 11:16 PM by hovatek. )

Why MKV Files Can’t Be Played On Samsung Smart TV?
Though Samsung TV claims to support MKV files, sometimes we still can not solve the issues that Samsung TV won’t play MKV. This is probably because MKV is just a container format encoded by various video&audio codecs which are probably not compatible with Samsung TV. In order to play MKV on Samsung, we need to convert MKV to other formats supported by Samsung Smart TV.

Steps On Convert MKV Files For Samsung Smart TV
Just download the 3rd party converters like handbrake, freemake, format factory, etc, you can easily do this work.
1. Import MKV files.
2. Select MP4 format encoded by H264/AAC which is well compatible with Samsung TV.
3. Start to convert.
