need help setting up Android ndk

#1

Hey guys.I need help setting up the android ndk, esp. the toolschains.I have installed the sdk, java 6,and have the ndk bin file.but no matter how many times i add the PATH links to my bashrc, my compiler never see it and so, it doesnt compiler my kernel source.i am testing the build environment by compiling a kernel source, without anyy modifications, so it should compile.
i am using ubuntu 14.10.0 on virtual box.

ps. i have extracted the ndk bin. and can see all the files inside.
