Verdict (This is just an opinion)

* The C8 has a slightly larger screen and camera specs. Note that the Megapixels alone dont determine picture quality.
* Its a tie for clock speed, both at 1.3 GHz although the C8's MT6735 chipset is somewhat superior (see http://versus.com/en/mediatek-mt6735-vs-mediatek-mt6582)
* The X510 has a commendable RAM management out of the box. The C8 fails in this area
* The C8 has a larger battery but that doesnt necessarily mean it'll have a longer battery life. The C8's power optimization is not as efficient as the X510's
* The apps that do not come pre-installed on the X510 can easily be installed from Play Store. For the C8's lagging, multi-tasking and charging bug, you would need to apply an OTA update or root then mod to fix them
* In terms of price, both are good deals although the Tecno C8 ought to go for a bit lower

Overall, the C8 has the specs to ourshine the X510 but - in my opinion - those specs weren't properly optimized, the X510 did a better job at maximizing its specs. Maybe OTAs from Tecno will bridge the gap.
