As an Android user, you might not be strange with the term – recovery mode. You come across it when your Android phone or tablet isn’t acting right. Today, we will look at what is Android recovery mode and how to boot into recovery mode on Android devices.
The most common way to boot into recover mode for Android devices is a combination of key presses. Different Android devices have different key combines. Here we’ll cover a couple of popular models.
For Samsung Galaxy S Series
Hold down the Power key and select the Power off option to turn your phone off. Then, press and hold the Power key, the Volume Up and Home button together until you see the Samsung logo. Now select the option to boot your galaxy device.
For HTC One
Go to Settings > Battery and uncheck the Fastboot option. Turn off the device by holding the Power key. Then, press and hold the Volume Down and Power keys to turn the phone on. Keep holding the Volume Download button to navigate to the bootloader mode and enter recovery mode with the Power button.
For LG Devices
Hold the Power key about 5 or 6 seconds to turn your LG off. Then, press and hold the Power key and Volume Down button simultaneously until the LG logo appears. Following that, press the Power and Volume Down button again until the Hard Reset menu shows. Finally, press Power button once to confirm the hard reset option.
For Google Nexus
Turn your Nexus off. Press and hold the Volume Down, Volume Up and Power buttons at the same time until the phone turns on. You’ll see the word Start with an arrow around it. Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight the Recovery mode. Then press the Power button to start recovery mode.
