(04-01-2016, 09:29 AM)rishabh1x try going to /dev/block directory and check for a folder named by-name
if you find it then try using this command

ls -al /dev/block/[your path to by-name]

in my case it is
ls -al /dev/block/platform/sdio_mmc/by-name

It will list all your partition names with their corresponding blocks

I don't have that folder

Update: When I put an SD card in, it calls the sdcard as mmcblk0. The zram0 partition is the only one that is on the physical device.

I used it and got a bunch of weird partitions that i've never seen before on Mediatek or Qualcomm phones.

I have sp1, 2ndb1, kpanic, and ubipac. I've attached the screenshot. What do I do now? Thanks by the way for helping Smile

No, my phone is the Blu dash jr 3g. Nothing on firmwarefile or anywhere else. Nothing on their support site either. I asked support for the firmware and they said very rudely that ota updates are the only way I could get firmware, and even then I wouldn't get a copy of the recovery. I would just get a partial system.img to flash.

Yeah.

Could the firmware be the ubipac MTD partition? Or not? Also, what is the 2ndb1 partition for?

I tried backing up using that, and it doesn't work. I really want CWM for my device, but I don't know what to do...

I'm not asking you to backup using it. I need to explore something using it
