This is a step by step showing how to enable soft touch keys on android i.e the on-screen keys

How to Enable Soft Touch Keys on Android Devices


  1. Open your file manager

  2. If you are using Xplore, then goto its configuration

  3. Click on Root access and change it to "Superuser + mount writable"

  4. Click on the Root folder and grant Xplore superuser permission if prompted
  5. Scroll down and open SYSTEM folder
  6. Scroll down and locate build.prop
  7. Long press and click on "Edit Text" to edit the build.prop

  8. When the text editor opens, scroll down till you get to "#end build properties"

  9. Add a new line and type
    Code:

    qemu.hw.mainkeys=0

  10. Save the edited file by pressing your back button.
  11. Click on YES to proceed with saving

  12. Exit Xplore
  13. Restart your phone to see the effects

Important Note
  • This tutorial is generic (ie can be used for all android devices)
  • Edit your build.prop carefully as any mistake could land you in a bootloop
