#1

Please i need help with fixing my bricked tecno a+.
I flashed using sp flash tool and downloaded the v2 of your ROM
(https://hovatek.com/redirect.php?link=ht...t=download) into it. After rebooting, the phone kept rebooting continuously.

Goto recovery by power down then hold power button plus volune up to boot into recovery then wipe data/factory reset

Boot into recovery mode (see https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-479.html) then do a factory reset

I formatted before carrying out the flashing. I could not enter recovery as my screen is blank each time it tries to boot even though i pressed the volume down + power button.

The version running on it before is 4.2. I did a firmware upgrade later yesterday after which i removed the battery and booted the phone. It booted normally with tecno sound but the screen is blank. I connected android developer device screen capture and was able to see the screen from the system but the phone screen is blank. Is there any software that need to be flashed into it or the screen is spoilt?

Tecno F7 Phantom A+ 4.2 MT6589 Variant 2 (MTK Backup).
Note: I added user and cache library i got from another site since these are not in the firmware i used and are required for firmware upgrade.

Copy preloader.bin and uboot / lk from MT6589 variant 1 into the variant 2 folder then flash variant 2

I copied preloader.bin and uboot from variant 1 folder to variant 2 folder and got an error while flashing. I flashed the second time with variant 2 and the screen came up on reboot with TECNO logo showing. The phone kept rebooting after showing the tecno logo. I tried booting into factory mode (power button + volume down), but it could not enter factory mode. Do i need to use a separate recovery image (probably from variant folder 1)?
