Tesla's new model low priced car scheduled to be released late july 2017 is in shock on the demand for its product as 198,000 have deposited $1000 to reserve thier vehicles.

Definitely going to need to rethink production planning," a surprised CEO Elon Musk said on his Twitter feed.

The order came from around. Musk revealed the car would be selling for $35,000 and can go a distant of 215miles on a single charge which is more than the distant most people go a day.
Did i mention its an electric car? Ohh pardon me yes it is.
Thought it would slow way down today, but Model 3 order count is now at 198k," Musk tweeted during the afternoon, saying the wait time for the car is "growing rapidly.

This is definitely a competition to other already existing electric cars and even previous models of tesla.
On Twitter, Musk estimated that the average selling price of a Model 3 with options would be around $42,000 against previous reports. So the sales would bring more than $8.3 billion in revenue to Tesla.

General Motors Co. is set to start selling the Chevrolet Bolt electric car at the end of this year with a similar price tag and a 200-mile range. Hyundai's Ioniq, which has a 110-mile electric range and could match Tesla on price, goes on sale this fall. Audi will follow with an electric SUV in 2018.

Customers put down $1,000 knowing that they'll probably have to wait two years to get their cars, this is serious trust tho...would you do same??
