[Please help] Can Not Find KCOLO or TP on PCB

#1
(This post was last modified: 05-12-2016, 12:23 PM by beratson. Edit Reason: Wording and Add CPU model )

I have a MTK (MT6735) device (HUADOO HG06) which is bricked and not detected by PC. It happened after flashing wrong ROM. I'm trying to do board jumper method, but can not find KCOLO or TP golden points.

Pictures are attached.

Anybody has an idea what to do?

I realized there are DM and DP they are just like Tx and Rx for COM port operation on USB operation

Short USB D+ to DM and USB D- to DM then GND to gnd on Phone PCB, then insert USB cable to PC, you may need a DC power supply to power the board +ve and -ve for correct detection

Bro, you really have to take the PCB completely and check whole board, certainly there is a test point on the board

I have disassambled all the board and checked the other side facing down as well, maybe one of the unnamed points is TP? Can I find a description of this PCB from somewhere?

BTW, can I use PC USB output as a DC supply, or should I use, wall plug to USB as a DC power supply?

One more question, what is USB D+ and USB D- ? I assume they are not on the board?

Thanks for reply.

If you are not finding the test point, you may have to manually try all other unnamed points with gnd and connect

But that's very tedious to do.....

USB cable on D+/- IF NOT WORKING THEN YOU NEED A BOX

Requirements
A Chinese box , I'm performing with volcano
Understanding

In this picture is a Volcano box, box main cable for power and universal gid

This is the D+ and D- with volcano box

Meaning of the Connection
Universal pin 4 -------DP
Universal pin 3-------DM
Pin 7 ---------------------GND

Once you set pinout, you will be true with preloader

If you do own a China box, this way is the fastest way to get preloader detected WITHOUT KCOLO TO GND,

normal D+, D- ,gnd but on box cable

Thanks
