[Tutorial] How to fix forgotten Pattern / PIN lock using a Custom Recovery

(This post was last modified: 07-07-2017, 09:33 PM by X3non. )

If you can't gain access to your MTK Android device due to forgetting the Voice unlock, PIN, pattern lock, slide lock or password protection then we already posted a guide on how to unlock @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-259.html . With this method you'll be able to retain your data / apps

  • A Custom Recovery must be installed on the locked Phone

  • Use google to search for the exact custom recovery image for your device. I wont provide that
  • The CWM method can be used if you have any form of custom recovery that doesn't have an inbuilt file manager

TWRP Recovery Procedure

  1. Boot to recovery mode using the guide @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-479.html
