Something is not working right. After flashing the twrp recovery, I navigated to the wipe option and under cache; I saw the cache size to be 6MB. I then decided to wipe the cache partition and after wipe success, I went to check the size of the cache file which has changed to 20MB instead of 0MB.

Again, I had a backup of an nvram partition and after restore success and booting the phone, I navigated to the /data/nvram/md/nvram/nvd_imei and under MPOB_001 permission, I saw the whole 9boxes ticked. I understand the restoration has made it system so I believe it should be owner and group under read and write which should be ticked and should not include other and execute. I intended to use this to solve my phone not capable of accessing only 3G network. Still the network disconnects and no network signal is seen whenever it is tune to access only 3G networks which means the restoration was seen as success but in reality, nothing happened.

Help out.

I will keep on trying..

I have tried using the recovery to wipe data but it increases the data instead of allieviating it. Restoring from a backup doesn't work as well. If restore complete is seen and I factory reset, it remains  the previous version when the backup was not restored. Please what is s really causing that.

Not really never used CWM to make a backup cos there is no option to backup secro and nvram partitions .

Never used CWM to make a backup cos I am only interested in secro and nvram partitions to fix my phone network disconnecting anytime it is tube to accept only 3G network.
CWM does not have the option to backup such partitions so have never used that to backup before.
