[Still Unresolved] Having trouble getting tools to work with MT6735 device
(15-06-2016, 07:57 PM)AerieanaNo, it's not dependant on that. Mine lollipop 5.1; I can upgrade to marshmallow though but being hesitant due to the bugs it has.(15-06-2016, 07:52 PM)mensa(15-06-2016, 07:28 PM)Aerieana MT6753 ? your phone is an octa-core then? mine is the quad-core MT6735.Miracle box doesn't work not on your phone alone. I have tried with my tecno p5 and infinix note 2 but none was detected. Try the kingroot v4.6.5 and it will surely get the work done. You can choose to install SuperSU after the root so to avert the chinese language.
I think I'm giving up on MTKDT/Miracle Box/SPFT, they don't work with my SoC so I'm gonna try a rooting app next. You really recommend Kingroot v4.6.5 for my MT6735 chip then? there's so many chinese rooting apps out there, I've no clue which is best.
What Android version is your phone running? I have 6.0 Marshmallow, I dunno if that'd affect being able to root or not, for how up-to-date a rooting app is.
(15-06-2016, 08:54 PM)mensaAh, thank you that's good to know and a relief. I think I'll try out Kingroot as you recommended then.(15-06-2016, 07:57 PM)Aerieana What Android version is your phone running? (15-06-2016, 09:09 PM)AerieanaYou are welcome. It requires an internet access so you have to have stable internet connection.(15-06-2016, 08:54 PM)mensaAh, thank you that's good to know and a relief. (16-06-2016, 12:04 AM)mensaKingroot failed twice for me just now my wifi was on too. Hopefully support for my SoC will come soon.(15-06-2016, 09:09 PM)AerieanaYou are welcome. It will work; just cos of network instability. I quite remember the first time I was rooting the phone, it worked without any hindrance but when I decided to root again after unrooting, it failed about 3-4times. Keep trying, it will root it. Did the phone ever restart? It only restarts when network is poor so if it doesnt restart till it gets to 100%, it will root it.
All the other root methods I've seen that supposedly work well with MTK chips or MT67xx are root via Windows program, where it might flash a recovery to get root, I'm worried that could result in a bricked phone if it's not a recovery specifically for my phone model...

(16-06-2016, 01:37 AM)AerieanaAm kinda surprise; all I can say is keep on trying it will surely work one time or you can try other alternatives.(16-06-2016, 12:54 AM)mensa Did you use the 4.6.5 version? I tried both 4.6.5 and 4.9.3, both failed, both didn't restart my phone either, again with my wifi on and good connection.
