Creating scatter file as per tutorial

#1

Good day,
As above I am trying to create a scatter file for my VF-696 (vodafone Smart Grand) Running lollipop using this tutorial: https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-12719.html

However, when I test it in SP Flash tool, I get an error, which is included in the .zip file I sent, along with images of the block info, my modified scatter file, and the info from MTK Droid Tool.
This is my first time doing this, so any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Attached Files
.zip   ROM.zip (Size: 837 KB / Downloads: 9)

Thank you, yes it worked 100%. Now my next questions are:
1: When I try to open the scatter file in SP Flash Tool, the program reads it briefly then closes. When I try to reopen the program, it does the same opens briefly then closes. What could possibly be the issue here?
2L I have the VF-696 stock ROM firmware which I want to load onto my phone, hence the backup. However, it is in a .tar.tar format. How would I go about flashing or loading this firmware onto my phone?
Thank you

Did you get that tar file extension from miracle box or you downloaded it and what is the condition of the phone?

Hi I downloaded it from here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/alcatel...rce=navbar
I believe these are firmware files, but am really not sure. As to condition of the phone, I'm not sure what you mean, it is 8 months old and still in pretty good condition. I removed some Google Apps while rooted and since then am having minor issues with it so I want to flash it back to factory condition. Doing a restore from the recovery menu (volume up plus power) does not put the removed Google apps back nor does it remove root.

Those are alcatel flash files
Ran a quick search but nothing came up on your device, we will list it here https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-10584.html once available
Meanwhile do you have access to a working phone of same model?

Extract its contents using Winrar or 7zip

Good day and thank you for your reply,
Apologies for the seemingly stupid/newby response, I did that and then end up with a .tar file which I then ALSO extracted and ended up with a whole lot of different folders with files inside themk. So how would one go about flashing these files to a phone?
