[Solved] Replace Kingroot with SuperSU
[Solved] Replace Kingroot with SuperSU
(18-08-2016, 12:58 PM)Fingers7606 Hello guys... I'm looking for a way to replace Kingroot with SuperSU. I've tried Supersume and it ruined my device(bootloop).
Is there another way to replace Kingroot, that supports both Android 5.1 and Kingroot 4.9.2? Note that I DO NOT have a custom recovery, so flashing is out of the question.
Thanx in advanced.

Is youe phone properly rooted first?.
Try dowloading supersu from playstore if it installs then you can disable kingroot from app manager
What is your phone model?

Well as I've mentioned, I don't have custom recovery and I CANNOT create 1(unless if you have a way to create a custom recovery for MT6580 without using MTK Tools).

To replace kinguser with superuser u will need to
download and extract mrw folder(from the above link) and move it into your internal storage
Open Terminal emulator and type :
Su
Allow root permission
Type :
sh /sdcard/mrw/root.sh
It might display some error, at the end it will launch supersu or open supersu manually.
Update su binary normal, then reboot.
