(23-08-2016, 01:29 PM)barolorun Thanks a lot, but how will I know when it's done? And what's the approximate time it will take?

we'll post it under this section.
We can't give a time estimate for now

It's been 6 days now. I hope my request has not been forgotten.

Wow! You guys are so wonderful. In fact, you are the best! Actually, I later discovered that the old version of TWRP you ported last year can perform a NANDroid backup, but one won't be able to select partitions individually (especially System and Data, as they are not listed). I also read online that shortly after its release in April, the TWRP developers announced that this version 3.0.2-1 would brick a device if used to restore "EFS partition". Do you know about that and can you shed light on it? The UI is so cool. I really appreciate what you guys are doing. May God continue to bless you!

EFS partition is the partition that contains IMEI number, Mac address and some other very important data on some devices e.g original samsung.

I know what an EFS partition is, it's the bricking part I need an explanation on. So TECNO devices don't have the partition, and there is nothing to worry about? It was actually Nexus devices, especially 6P, the announcement was made for, and a Samsung owner commented that he tried it on his phone and it didn't get bricked. Moreover, when I checked the backup feature, nothing like EFS was listed among the partitions. I just asked so as to be on a safer side because EFS might rather be automatic with a NANDroid backup.

nothing to worry about.. your device has an nvram partition instead of efs
BTW you should always have a handy backup of your device

Thanks for the clarification and for the custom recovery. I've been directing members of the TECNO Spot forum to this website for some time now. I've also shared this version of TWRP there with your own download link. Thanks once again.
