About Phone - Build number (tap several times continually) you will get a notification you are now a developer then the option will be displayed (Developers option)

Inside Developer Options, tap on OEM unlocking, the slide will turn blue

try unlocking it via oem unlocking (no hustle) and re try kingroot. if not then back up your data and wipe your device, check for latest update install, download kingroot re root.

no it will not erase your data if you unlock it via developers option. via ADB yes. i used sp flash tool.

THESE ARE THE STEPS I TOOK TO REROOT MY DEVICE (I am happy now unlimited customization & junk gone).
BE CAREFUL, YOU CAN FOLLOW MY STEPS ON YOUR OWN TERMS.

1.first formatted my phone using sp flash tool make sure (Auto Format Flash)&(format whole flash except bootloader) are checked then start format.

2.installed the rom usign sp flash tool.

3.booted my phone (be patient) you might think it got stuck on the logo (give it 5-10 min) to start up.

4.Enable Developers option and OEM Unlocking (via settings) & (not via ADB as it deleted all my data)

5.Download and install kingroot.

6.root.

BE CAREFUL AS SOME DEVICES MAY LOOSE IMEI, WRITE IT DOWN SOMEWHERE, YOU WILL NEED TO RE WRITE IT BACK TO THE DEVICE (IF YOU HAPPEN TO LOOSE IMEI AFTER FLASHING).

About the root,  I think you used a custom recovery and install supersu.zip, my guess is that you try another version of supersu Like 2.66 and above. Because the binary script are recent and better compared to the common 2.46. It will work using a more recent supersu.zip.  Good luck

I used the SuperSu that i got from the blog, after root failed i downloaded and flashed a more stable SuperSu from  http ://download.chainfire.eu/supersu-stable. But the problem was still the same.
