[Please help] Custom Recovery On MediaTek MT6580 1.30Ghz phone not installing!

#1

Basically, I've tried everything. MTK tools will not allow me to install the CWM because I get this:

 --- ERROR  :  --- TotalBytesPerChunk Not Found. Set default Page/Spare=2048/64 !!! -
ERROR :  Zero file, no space left on device!
--- ERROR  :Not read Block: boot

It's hard for me to find any help because my phone is called a Padgene S9 Plus, which is NOT a popular phone by any means and it wouldn't surprise me if I'm literally the only person who owns this phone to try and do this.   Angry

If it's any help, here is pretty much the entire CPU-Z data for my phone:

Android Version : 5.1
API Level : 22
Bootloader : Unknown
BuildID : X5-80L_WE_3GW_B15_EMMC_64_8_HD_XLD_A8AY_S9_PLUS_20160624.183152
Java VM: ART 2.1.0
OpenGL ES : 2.0
Kernal Architecture : armv71
Kernal Version : 3.10.72 (1466677861)
Root Access : Yes
//
Hardware : mt6580
Screen Size : 5.5 Inches
Screen Resolution : 720 x 1280 px
Screen Density : 320 dpi
Total RAM : 961 mb
Internal Storage : 5.24GB
Available Storage : 4.15GB
(SD Card : 30GB)

Any help would be appreciated. ^-^

Try using the TWRP recovery porting method @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-5162.html or the Carliv Touch Recovery porting method @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-182.html
backup using the Miracle box method @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-13347.html

My guy here is right.. MTK droid tools doesn't work for MT6580 but miracle Box can detect it for read and write. The latest Sp flash tool can write on it too. Best you get a ready made custom recovery to flash with Sp flash tool. Good luck

Recovery needs to be manually ported.
Do you have the scatter file and stock recovery?
