The Wiko U Feel and Wiko U Feel Lite are Mediatek MT6735 chipset (SoC) powered Android phones which ship with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). This guide will teach you how to easily root either of these Wiko devices.

How do I root a Wiko U Feel or Wiko U Feel Lite Android phone?

  1. Download TWRP for Wiko U Feel (Marshmallow) ported by Team Hovatek at https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B4S-Z726V...t=download
  2. Download TWRP for Wiko U Feel Lite (Marshmallow) ported by Team Hovatek at https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B4S-Z726V...t=download
  3. Setup ADB and Fastboot on the PC using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-588.html
  4. Extract and copy the TWRP recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe
  5. Unlock the Bootloader of the Wiko U Feel or Wiko U Feel Lite using the guide at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14811.html
  6. Download SuperSU 2.76.zip at https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B_-waNKLv...t=download
  7. Copy SuperSU.zip to both the phone’s SD card and internal storage
  8. Connect the phone to the PC via USB cord while switched On and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide)
  9. When the phone enters Fastboot, flash the TWRP recovery image to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter

    Code:

    fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

  10. Once recovery is flashed in fastboot, hold the Volume up + Power button and don’t release till the phone reboots. When it does, select Recovery from the list
  11. In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
  12. If TWRP offers to root the phone, select NO
  13. In TWRP recovery, tap Install
  14. Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.76.zip and select it
  15. Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete
  16. Reboot the phone normally
  17. Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en

1. Was your phone bricked before you flashed the TWRP
2. Have you flashed back stock ROM or recovery?

1. No ! My phone has not been bricked before flash the TWRP
2. I flashed the first time on the new phone and the original clean ROM with your files. A second time after restoring the phone with the Wiko restoration software

I don't understand No. 2
I need to know if you've been able to flash back a working stock recovery.img so I can use it to port TWRP for your Build
