[Please help] Tecno L8 plus clock issues [SOLVED]

#1
(This post was last modified: 10-08-2016, 12:29 AM by Wabafit. )

Here is the solution I used so you can try it out beforehand before you go all around the thread searching for stuff and possibly messing up your phone:
----------------------------------POSSIBLE SOLUTION!----------------------------------

After some digging around, I found a temporary solution to this and I also think I know the culprit. It's Google Now Launcher. Google Now Launcher had somehow deprecated and corrupted the shortcut in the whole launcher to where it crashed whenever I did anything with it. I was able to temporarily be able to use it again by telling Google to "Wake Me Up" at a certain time, therefore making another shortcut in my statusbar that opened the clock app differently. To this day, I have not found a fix or found out what triggered it but I hope this solution will help other L8 Plus users, too. Thanks for all the help. I think this thread should be closed now since my problem was resolved.

----------------------------------POSSIBLE SOLUTION!----------------------------------

My clock decides to crash whenever I open it. I've tried nearly everything I've seen on the internet. This started after I had put my phone on silent for the first time. I need some help, please. This is really bugging me!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I have another L8 plus without this error. I don't want to re-flash the ROM so I don't void the warranty. Any help?

Wouldn't that make me void my warranty? I do have the ROM of my phone, though.

Also, I believe it's not flash-able using SP flash tool.

I'm using TWRP to backup my ROM. I know how to flash it, don't worry. It's just that I've seen on multiple threads that flashing it with SP flash tool doesn't work. I'll try it out, though. No problemo. I'll inform you of how it goes after it's done backing up.

EDIT: After backing up and plugging it in, it seems to want to install the drivers of my phone even though I've already installed them. I decided to leave it going but advice from you would be highly appreciated.

Ok

It seems that I got an error about there not being enough space. I'll try to fix it and continue. Thanks a lot for your continuous support.
