Gionee S6s is a Mediatek MT6753 powered phone running on Android 6 (Marshmallow) . This guide will explain how to root this device.

How do I root a Gionee S6S Android phone?

Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
  • Once recovery is flashed in fastboot, hold the Volume up + Power button and don’t release till the phone reboots. When it does, select Recovery from the list
  • In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
  • If TWRP offers to root the phone, select NO
  • In TWRP recovery, tap Install
  • Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.76.zip and select it
  • Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete
  • Reboot the phone normally
  • Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://hovatek.com/redirect.php?link=ht...heck&hl=en

I have used this phone and I have noticed all the problems it has
Here is the twrp I used https://www.needrom.com/download/twrp-for-gionee-s6s-2/
Here is the stock rom that you can write imei if lost by any chance
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0Bz-6ouCql...3J1Zllvak0
Please not that there are more than 3 different versions of the s6s rom online, but only the above one could allow me to restore a nandroid backup of nvram and nvdata, the rest will restore but still your imei will be blank, also you can't write imei using SN Writer or Maui Meta, even using mtk engineering mode or even Chamelophon

The phone runs android marshmallow that supports systemless root so a backup of its system won't be rooted
But here's the stock rom
https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0Bz-6ouCql...3J1Zllvak0
And twrp recovery
