MY COOLPAD ANDROID PHONE REFUSE TO RECEIVE SOME MESSSGES

My coolpad android phone refuse to receive some messages. It only receive messages from other phones but refuse to receive AUTOMATED messages.
{1}Am using airtel BB10 subscription and when I check my bundle balance the reply is usually through text messages but this phone refuse to receive the message, as it stands now I don't know my bundle balance {2} The phone doesn't receive messages from bank transactions, also it refuse to receive the AUTHENTICATION code that is normally sent as a text each time I want to transfer money from my account using the phone. {3} It refused to receive verification code sent to me by yahoo to verify my mail account. The only message it receives is messages from other phones. What can I do about it

You're unable to send or receive SMS from short codes / short code numbers / Premium SMS numbers. There's very likely an SMS or phone setting(or app) in place that's blocking them. Open both Phone and SMS app. Check the settings if there's a blacklist or block option in place. Also, look through your apps for any call or sms blocker

install a third party SMS app from playstore and make it default.
let me know if the issue persists

I called airtel customer care to complain about this problem but they said that the imbox of the device is filled that I should delete messages which I deed but to no avail

Remove your current SMS app from default using https://www.hovatek.com/blog/how-to-clea...oid-phone/
launch the New SMS app and set to always use when prompted.
You then try sending SMS to shortcodes
Just to be sure, does the issue persist with other network's SIM cards too?
