[Please help] Request for Custom Recovery

Hi there,

Can someone please help me create a custom recovery for a Mobicel Gem?

This phone is an MTK6572 based device.
It's running Android Lollipop 5.1

I've uploaded the boot, recovery and scatter files to here:

Just FYI: Both Kingroot and Kingoroot have been unable to root this phone.

I also tried to make a CWM recovery with MTK Droid Tools, but it gives me the No Kernel GZ and no Split Boot Image error.

Hi there,

Thank you very much for that image.

I have flashed it with Miracle Box's write mode.

I booted the phone into recovery.

(
1. Hold up button and power button, 
2. select recovery mode
3. android with red triangle shows up
4. Hold power button 2 secs and then up button

But then it just goes to the old "Android System Recovery"

With "Install Update from sdcard" etc.

Any idea how to actually boot into recovery?

Did you rename recovery.img to recovery.bin before flashing with Miracle Box?
you could also try sp flash tool @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-159.html with recovery.img

I'm trying now to flash it with SP Flash Tool.

I have loaded your Scatter File, and selected RECOVERY.

When I choose the recovery.bin file a message pops up that says
