Yes.
Thanks for your patience
Someone else had a similar issue with the MIUI recovery. Turned out to be the mount points.
Get your phone's mount points using https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-11203.html
upload a full screenshot so I make necessary adjustments to your recovery image

I'm done reviewing the thread that you provided. How can I install rom toolbox in my phone and take note of the folder where the "by name" folder is located if my phone is not booting up? It is stuck on boot logo, I cannot install anything on it.

I had no idea the phone was still bricked.
Why not flash the firmware / stock ROM?

The only backup that I have is the one that I created through MIUI recovery. When I'm trying to restore the backup, it's giving me an error "Operation failed". I had no idea what other tool to use on flashing that backup. Also, I can't find a stock firmware of vision 5x in the web.

try restoring the miui backup one partition at a time
for the firmware, you'll need to backup from a working device

Ran a quick search but couldn't find the firmware either.
Can I see a screenshot of the files in the backup you made

I think we can work with this, it'll just be a bit taxing
Can you get the phone into fastboot?

OK.
I think the mixup is from userdata and system.
Copy all the files to your PC.
We need to verify others first.
Unpack recovery.img (from your backup) using the guide @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-15817.html
upload a screenshot of the files in the ramdisk folder
