How to root the Infinix Hot 4 Pro

  1. Dump your firmware in scatter format using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
  2. Download SuperSU 2.78 @ https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457084094631642692 and save to both phone storage and SD card
  3. Create a new folder named Hovatek on your PC
  4. Copy preloader.bin from your Miracle Box backup into the Hovatek folder

  6. Copy the Philz recovery.bin and scatter file from the Philz zip file downloaded above into the Hovatek folder, making peloader.bin, scatter file and recovery.bin (Philz) in the folder
  7. Flash the preloader.bin and recovery.bin using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-14106.html
  8. Boot the phone into recovery mode (Vol up + Power) after flashing
  9. In Philz recovery, you use the Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select
  10. Select Install Zip
  11. Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.78.zip on the SD Card and select it
  12. Wait till flashing is complete
  13. If you are prompted to fix root, select No
  14. Reboot the phone normally
  15. Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker @ https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...heck&hl=en

Thanks for your detailed explanations and the download links provided, the the processes worked as described but i noticed that the recovery bin you provided did not make the phone to boot into recovery mode after pressing the key combination.

Which mode did the phone boot into and in what order did you hold the buttons?

I've tried and tried but can't get miraclebox to detect my phone, every other software out there can detect my phone. Can you post the scatter file and recovery so I can flash via SPflashtool?
