Its very strange to encounter the "your connection is not private" or "your connection is not secure" error even when trying to access trusted websites like Google, Facebook etc on Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera(mini), UC browser, Safari etc

Additional warnings that might follow are:
 
Attackers might be trying to steal your information from *** (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards).

The owner of *** has configured their website improperly to protect your information from being stolen.

This is due to a misconfiguration on your PC or Mobile device.

How to fix the connection not private or secure error on browsers

When faced with this error, consider the following fixes:
  • Ensure your device's date & time are correct
  • Your Antivirus / Antimalware might be monitoring SSL connections, temporarily disable this setting
  • Download and install the latest version(s) of your browser(s)
