[Please help] Gionee F103- Unable to restore IMEI Permanently using SN Writer or Maui META 3G Tool
(13-02-2017, 11:58 AM)hovatek(12-02-2017, 09:26 PM)Ajithkmr Thanks. Was able to write IMEI with Maui META v9.1635.23 tool, after reinstalling the VCOM drivers etc.
But the problem remains - 'it's not Permanent'. After a factory reset the imei was gone and showed 'IMEI: Invalid'. Is there a solution for this?
Maui's write ought to be permanent. Retry SN write
(13-02-2017, 01:00 PM)Ajithkmr Didn't work with SN Write tool. Tried two different versions. Showing the "META_MAUI_DB_INCONSISTENT" message.

Have you tried the DB files from a different firmware for your model?
Also, what of GSM Aladdin?
(13-02-2017, 07:27 PM)Ajithkmr Yes tried with another firmware(Android 5.0, using Android 6.0 now) wasn't working either. GSM Aladdin can't detect the phone. I have installed all necessary VCOM drivers I believe. Attaching screenshots of device manager and GSM Aladdin.

1. For GSM Aladdin, did you connect with or without battery in phone and while powered on or off?
2. What does the phone get detected as in Device Manager when connected while powered off with battery inside
(14-02-2017, 12:53 PM)Ajithkmr 1. For GSM Aladdin connect the phone via usb 'with battery' while 'powered off'.
2. For about 5 seconds when I connect the phone switched off with battery a driver get connected in ports "MediaTek PreLoader USB VOM(Android)(COM3)". Once the phone is boot up and charging that driver is not there. Attaching pics.

Right-click what it gets detected as then update using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16839.html
If its still only charging when connected then its likely that version of GSM Aladdin doesn't support your device
(14-02-2017, 08:12 PM)Ajithkmr Tried methods, it is still only charging, not detected on GSM Aladdin. Any other solutions?
(15-02-2017, 11:20 AM)hovatekWoosah! Managed to fixed it though am not quite sure how I did it. Tried to Re-write IMEI using Maui Meta a bit differently. Now as per this How to use Maui META (https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-12328.html) thread on Step 10 you are required to click on the 'Download Flash' button to flash the IMEIs'. But instead I click on the 'Upload from flash' button and it showed 'Upload IMEI succesfully'. Boot up the phone and checked - IMEI was written. Tried factory reset couple of times and the IMEI was still there. So permanently written this time. Am not quite sure how it worked out but it worked! Could have tried to confirm the method again, but dosen't want to go through the hassle again(unless there is a need). Thanks hovatek for the support much appreciated. You may please close the thread now(if there's such an option). Thanks.(14-02-2017, 08:12 PM)Ajithkmr Tried methods, it is still only charging, not detected on GSM Aladdin. Any other solutions?
Re-write the IMEI using Maui Meta and check if its still temporary.
Also, do you have TWRP recovery for your phone?
