(21-03-2017, 10:45 AM)NicklasE Hi.

My device is stuck in the boot "Orange State...Your device will boot in 5 seconds". But it doesn't reboot. It just hangs there. Is there a key combination or something to get the device to boot the recovery image in order to get the device working again?

I'm not able to use fastboot or adb in this state:

Code:

$ adb devices
List of devices attached
89MZU4MJ8LMNJJI7 unauthorized

BR,
Nicklas

Hold the power button for a while and see if the phone powers off or reboots.
At what stage did you get stuck here. Details please

Hi!

I have attached a few photos (I should probably upload a YouTube video instead). But this is the way:
1: Phone powered off
2: Phone gets stuck during boot
3: Power off and press power + volume up during boot. Select fastboot in the menu.
4: Entering fastboot.
5: fastboot boot recovery.img and get into the tool
7: Unable to mount /sdcard
8: Select reboot and device gets stuck again
9: In the menu after power on with power + volume up: select recovery.
10: Recovery fails?

I'm not able to get anywhere Sad

can the device still boot to the homescreen?
try holding the power button till the device reboots. then you can attempt following the guide again.

No, the device cannot boot to the homescreen. It will always get stuck on that initial boot screen where is says it will reboot in 5 seconds (but never does anything). The M6 is really unusable at the moment.

I see.
If you have a PC and are on Google Hangouts then drop your gmail address for a private session.
I'll personally look into this case

Hi,

(I've been busy). Did you find a way to recover the device? Or should I setup a PC? I assume you will need a remote connection, and I don't want you to connect to my private computer Smile
Do you need Windows or Ubuntu?

I won't be connecting. Just a live chat session.

I sent a PM with my Google name. But never mind that. After some additional testing and following the procedure carefully to install the SuperSU again, the phone finally booted after a few attempts. I have not yet verified what is working and what is not. But the device has booted, I'm able to get a root shell and the SuperSU app seems "happy".

I must have missed some critical step at my first attempt. So if anyone else is encountering the same problem: try to redo the installation and be very very careful!
