Hi There,
Just wondering if there might be a way to root the Hisense U989 yet ?
I tried popular rooting apps like OneClickRoot, KingoRoot, iRoot, Formaroot etc etc, but so far no luck with any of them... Sad Sad Sad
I have also tried flashing the TWRP recovery.img on my Hisense U989, when I boot into Recovery Mode, TWRP won't load up either!!
I'm outta of other ideas or options at the moment.
Please Help... [Image: sad.gif] [Image: sad.gif] [Image: sad.gif]

Does TWRP brick the phone or stock recovery constantly replaces the TWRP?

Stock Recovery Constantly Replaces TWRP as far as I can tell.
I have flashed TWRP, and then pulled the battery and booted straight up into recovery mode to avoid phone booting up normally and stock recovery replacing TWRP.
Even when doing this TWRP does not load. Only Stock Recovery comes up??? Sad

I believe I've encountered a case like this.

1. How did you flash the TWRP (what method)
2. Was the recovery.img used to port the TWRP extracted from your phone?

I flashed the TWRP recovery.img to the phone using the ADB method (after unlocking the phones bootloader and booting up into fastboot mode)
I then used the ADB command line of "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" with TWRP recovery.img in my ADB folder of course.
The TWRP recovery.img for the phone is the one I got off your site over here:

What I need is a live chat.
Do you have the firmware for your phone model?
