(30-01-2018, 08:56 PM)oxi Ok I've just read another 'How to root' thread and I get it now.

But why on both and not only on SD Card?

Just incase one of the two isn't detected in recovery mode

On linux , can I copy the Philz recovery.img in my /home/user/ directory and load the Philz recovery by typing

Code:

fastboot boot home/user/recovery.img

Will it work?

you can try and see the outcome for yourself but its best you always place the recovery.img file in the same folder location as adb and fastboot files to avoid mistakes

So can you tell me if usr/bin is the appropriate folder where to paste recovery.img file on linux?

Hi. There is a new update for Acer Liquid z6 (T09).
OS_Acer_Acer.T09.AV0M0.1.035.00.EMEA.GEN1_A60M_A.zip
The Philz_Recovery.img and SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip can be installed everything. Root is available after that.
However, I want to boot into the recovery, is still the original recovery of acer to see. Do I still need to install a CWM or TWRP with MTKdroidTools or ADB?
Sorry. English is not good. Google helped me.

MTK Droid tool is too old, it will not support your phone's chip, you can flash via ADB/Fastboot or using flash tool.
do you have the firmware for your phone's build? if yes, then port custom recovery using TWRP port tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21839.html or philz port tool @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21495.html
also, if you're needing the custom recovery to root you can root using magisk and boot.img @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21427.html . No custom recovery required.

If you still require further assistance then please visit https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-514.html to create a new thread.

(16-09-2018, 04:13 PM)Mark-o OK. Thank you. I will do it. But it takes. I am now on vacation. Can not upload my own OS. Hovatek does not blame that.

you do not need to upload your firmware.
use the philz porting tool at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-21495.html and recovery.img from your firmware to port philz for your device

Hi X3non. Unfortunately, your suggestion with the "Mediatek Auto Philz Recovery Porter V1.4" did not work. See picture attachment.
Nevertheless, after a long time I have tried the "[Hovatek] Philz for Acer Liquid Z6 (T09) [Acer_AV0M0_T09_1.034.00_EMEA_GEN1] .zip" including "SuperSU-v2.82-201705271822.zip" on the new room "OS_Acer_Acer.T09. AV0M0.1.035.00.EMEA.GEN1_A60M_A.zip "can flash.

Here is my approach.
I flashing the "[Hovatek] Philz for Acer Liquid Z6 (T09) recovery.img" with "minimal_adb_fastboot_v1.4.3" on the T09. After restarting the GSM in the Philz Recovery, I re-installed the new OS.zip and the "SuperSU.zip". Thereafter, the "Philz recovery" was on the GSM via the ROM Manager boot bar. And the GSM has ROOT.

Here is my recovery.img.

Whether it works on other T09 I do not know. If necessary, you will no longer have recovery. Just as I had it in the beginning.
Thanks for your help.
