In this guide, you will learn how to Download the Right BIOS for Dell PC and Update with a Bootable USB flash. Before updating/flashing BIOS you will need to make a bootable flash to enable the BIOS to detect the USB flash.

Note:
Make sure your PC is connected to POWER before Flashing
Search your PC Model by Entering your Service Tag or Product ID in the Search Box, you will find your Service TAG ID under your computer near the Battery. Then Click Submit, you will see your PC Picture and Model No.
Click on Drivers and Downloads by the Left Side Bar.
Click on Find it Myself, this will allow you select the type of Driver you want to download. you will see the list of drivers available for your PC
Click on BIOS, and Go down to Download and Click on it.
Click on Save File on the Pop-up
Open the Location you saved the Downloaded File. (in Firefox Click the Download Arrow Pointing Down by the top right of the screen and click on the folder sign to open file location).
Restart the system and press F12 when the Dell Splash logo appears to display the One Time Boot Menu.
Using arrow keys, select USB Storage Device and press Enter
The system will boot to a Diag C:\> prompt, then type the full name of the file you previously copied into your USB Flash Drive and Hit Enter (e.g. Diag C:\>3442A12.exe).
You will be ask to Confirm the task you want to perform, answer by Pressing letter Y to start flashing.
PC might restart several times during the BIOS flash.
