[Tutorial] How to fix Play Store error downloading app.There is insufficient space on the device

This is mostly caused by an incompatibility between certain apps and Google Play Store. In some cases, its unremoved components of a previously installed version of the same app.

If you get error downloading "app". There is insufficient space on the device while trying to install an app in Goole Play Store then consider the following fixes:

Method 1: Uninstall Google Play Store Updates


  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Appplication manager (or Apps)
  3. Scroll right to the All tab
  4. Select Google Play Store from the list
  5. Click Uninstall Updates
  6. You'll get a prompt saying the application will be replaced with the factory version, select Ok.
  7. Download Google Play StoreV 4.1.10
  8. Install the Google Play Store apk on the phone
  9. Go to Settings > Accounts > Google
  10. Click on the Google account email
  11. Press the Menu button
  12. Select Remove account
  13. Tap Remove account when prompted
  14. Restart the phone
  15. Launch Google Playstore then sign into your Google account
  16. Try installing the app again

Method 2: Install the app's apk


  1. Search for the app's apk file online
  2. Download then install the apk
