The Innjoo V1 (e.g V1-6.0-InnJoo-20161107-V1) is an MT6735 powered phone running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)

How to root Innjoo V1

There are two main steps:
  • Unlocking the Bootloader of the Innjoo V1
  • Flashing the Hovatek TWRP recovery.img and SuperSU.zip

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
  • Once recovery is flashed in fastboot, reboot the device
  • Power off the device, then boot to recovery mode using the technique @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-479.html
  • In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
  • If TWRP offers to root the phone, select NO
  • In TWRP recovery, tap Install
  • Navigate to the location of the SuperSU2.78.zip and select it
  • Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip and wait till flashing is complete
  • Reboot the phone normally
  • Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker
