Its a bug in the ROM.
1. Is yours the 1+16 or 2+16 variant?
2. Can you get access to a working phone of the same model?

There are some other Max 3G firmware @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-1242.html but it'll have to be trial and error to get the perfect one.
First off, dump your firmware in scatter format using Miracle Box @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-13347.html
waiting....

Please still on this updating or flashing of phone, I want to ask, my phone has an avenue for local wireless update. So I want to know if I download a new stock rom, as you've suggested, can I run it from there or must I flash the file with a system to get it done.

if the firmware you downloaded contains a scatter file, then you need to flash using SP flash tool on a PC
see https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-159.html

if its an update.zip package, then drop the file on the root of your SD card
insert the SD card into the phone > boot the phone into recovery mode
then flash the update.zip
the phone must not be rooted otherwise it'll brick

Alright, please just to be sure I understand what you said, by " drop the file on the root of your SD card", you mean I should put it and only it, such that once open the SD card, it will be the only thing there. And is it as the .zip file or the unpacked package? Thanks

And again please I downloaded the file from innjoo's website, and on download, it read "Max3 3G-6.0-InnJoo-20161118-V1.zip". Can I refer to this as the update.zip file you talked about? Thanks
