Windows. Old folder

#1

I've tried many methods on the web to delete windos.old folder with no success. I'm running dual boot windows 7 and windows 10. The folder is in windows 10.

Boot your PC in Safe Mode and retry deleting, or delete one folder after another.

see https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-15585.html
open the window.old folder then take ownership of each folder one after the other (after taking ownership of a particular folder, then try deleting it)
this may not work if you try taking ownership of the entire windows.old

OR you can try this easier method
* Click on Windows search field, type Cleanup,
* Click on Disk Cleanup
* Click the "Clean up system files" button
* Wait awhile for Windows to scans for files, then scroll down the list until you see "Previous Windows installation(s)."
* Tick the box next to it, (make sure there are no other boxes ticked
* Click OK to start the cleanup.
