Hard drive disk

Hello Hovatek my HDD 500GB failed down and since then it make clicking sound when I connect it to my system. I even tried to plug it for external connector as well but still not work I also tried to connect it to system mother board but still not showing.
So please Hovatek help me IF there is technical process to bring this drive back life again...

Have you tried connecting it on Windows XP with external connector l?

I only have windows 7 and 8

I even try to reload the operatin system true bios but it says no drive found the cannot detect..

a fall of that magnitude?
the hard disk is most likely damaged. you should consider replacing the hard disk.
