Hi, I have a Blackview BV7000 Pro that I was hoping I could unlock/enable a couple bands so it will work with my provider in Canada.

It works on these bands/frequencies
GSM spec 850/900/1800/1900
3G spec 900/2100
LTE spec B1/3/7/8/20

I need to add at least 4G LTE band 2 and 4

I used Maui META to access the phone and I see there is a Baseband tool which I assume allows you to modify the bands the device uses.

It uses the MediaTek MT6750T. MediaTek's website says the 6750T supports all bands, which leads me to believe the phone should be able to operate on other bands, not just the ones it came with.

I would like to know two things, how to get the BPLGUInfo file and how to add bands 2 and 4 through Maui META. I have been following the thread https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-12328.html to use Maui META and it asks for a BPLGUInfo file but my phone isn't rooted and I can't find this online.  I am afraid to make changes without having this file.

I am open to all suggestions and help.  Thank you.

If you don't want to root then the BPLGU file can be obtained from the official firmware.

I downloaded the firmware but there isn't a BPLGU file in it.  This is the closest file I have: MDDB.META_MT6750_S00_MOLY_LR11_W1603_MD_MP_V27_P63_1_ulwctg_n.EDB

Is this the same thing as a BPLGU file?

Do you know if the Baseband section is actually for adding LTE bands?  I tried to look up a help guide for Maui META but couldn't find anything.

Based on your chip, try that file in both Maui Meta and SN Writer because it tends to vary.
The Baseband part is for writing Baseband version, not modem bands. The bands the phone will support is a function of the phone's modem file

I tried SN writer but it doesn't have the option I am looking for in order to access the phone's modem information.

Maui META seems a better chance but I don't know where I would go in Maui META to get access to the modem file or make changes to it.

Is there a way to open the .IMG files in the firmware to possibly access the modem file in order to make changes?

If you have system.img then you can unpack it with this tool https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-15855.html and obtain the modem file from the path mentioned at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-11609.html
