I've recently Bought lava iris 820, and i've been trying to root it for almost 5 hours but nothing. I've followed all the steps from  hovatek from this post https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16952.html.

i'm getting an unknown error, over and over, i tried changing the usb cable, different computer, formatted my phone, inserted new SD card but the error keeps coming.

Here is a picture of the error :

Android Version : 6.0
CPU : Quad-Core 1.3GHz
Ram : 1GB
ROM : 8GB
Build number : Lava _Iris820_INT_S127_17D13

please any help would be appreciated

The problem is the scatter file, it was updated.
Rename the recovery image from recovery.img to recovery.bin (use 7zip manager or your phone's file manager)
You should now have scatter file and recovery.bin (not recovery.bin.img)
You can then follow the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16879.html but using your scatter file and recovery.bin

Hello hovatek, thanks for your reply.

I've followed your steps and renamed the recovery from .img to .bin but now i'm getting another error that says please check your load matches the one to download.

I've as well followed the steps you've give me from the other thread, hoped i'd have a better chance with miracle.

It was pain in the *** because i am all new to this kind of stuff, i dumped my firmware in scatter format using miracle, i downloaded superSU 2.78 zip in both my internal and external storage, created a new folder named hovatek then i copied my preloader.bin from my backup into the folder, i downloaded TWRP and copied the recovery.bin and the scatter file into the folder along with the preloader, but when i tried to flash with miracle everything went smooth, but when i boot my phone and choose recovery mood, its either my phone gets stuck for a couple of seconds and starts the phone, or it takes me to the regular stock recovery which has no install zip option, i've tried different recoveries but nothing worked for me, what wrong am i doing ? please help me
,

Hovatek i believe The link you gave me is for another device. So i tried to download a twrp for my device from philz but still the same thing happened. Im so confused and out of the box

it worked, but when i open recovery and try to install the supersu zip from sd card it says e: Can't mount /storage/sdcard0

Could the problem be from the twrp recovery ? not the sd card ? because i tried formatting my sd card but that didnt work
