The Tecno Camon CX (e.g CX-H501D1-N-170405V107) is an MT6755 / MT6750 powered phone running on Android 7 (Nougat)

How can I root my Tecno Camon CX?

There are two main steps:
  • Unlocking the Bootloader of the Tecno Camon CX
  • Flashing the Hovatek TWRP / Philz recovery.img and SuperSU.zip

Procedure
Code:

fastboot boot recovery.img
  • The phone should automatically boot into TWRP / Philz recovery mode (depending on which you flashed)
  • Do a full backup by tapping Backup (Recommended) then proceed with the guide once done
  • In TWRP, if you get a prompt asking you to swipe to allow modification of the System partition, tap KEEP READ ONLY
  • If TWRP / Philz offers to root the phone, select NO
  • In TWRP / Philz recovery, tap Install
  • Navigate to the location of the SuperSU.zip on External SD card and select it
  • Swipe to confirm flashing of SuperSU.zip (if prompted) and wait till flashing is complete
  • Reboot the phone normally
  • Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker

Important Notice
You can also root using boot.img + magisk manager

Actually someone can flash the TWRP recovery in fastboot using
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
And you can mount system as rw so long as you install syatemless SuperSU

I'll send you the stock recovery and boot
You'll need to enter fastboot using adb
adb reboot boot-loader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery.img
then fastboot boot recovery.img
go to root intergrity check to confirm if your system is modified
If it's ok
reboot to boot-loader from recovery
fastboot oem lock
And you're done.
