(EXPERIMENTAL) Increase TECNO N9 inbuilt memory (NOW EXPERIMENTAL)

(EXPERIMENTAL) I wonder if anyone has thought about this! Increasing the inner (system) memory of your individual tecno device and YES its possibe! Tecno is a mediatek (MTK) device and all mediatek device's partitions can be modified. I don't know why TECNO has limited the system memory of some of their devices (TECNO N9 included with 2gb memory and a wasted 11gb for media because when you insert a memory card, it becomes useless and can only be used for media and documents and I think its not fair). With tecno not being user friendly, I think its time all developers help in achieving this goal. Some people have already don't this for their MTK devices. I tried to use it on my TECNO N9 and got my phone bricked (thanks to hovatek for my device is up again). If you're a developer I think we should work on this. The two files that needs modifications are EBR1 and EBR2 from the backup created using MTKDroidTOOls.I tried editing it to no avail. If we can modify the partitions and increase the inner (system) memory! It'll be very useful. If you're a dev! try work on this. I have attached the two ebr files from my tecno n9. If you can work on it, please post your feedback! - EDIT; I have tried editing my ebr1 and ebr2 files and I successfully increased the internal memory from 1.8gb to 5.5gb... Its still experimental and I'm going to use it for a while and see if it doesn't disrupt the system of the phone! I'll post my two modded ebr files for TECNO N9 only as soon as I'm done experimenting!

Hi @ hypafly... I was working on something close to that when porting CyanogenMod to Tecno N9 pad.
I will try to work on that soon.

Thanks bro! Did you just say you're porting cm to tecno n9? were you able to? I mean is it booting? Cos I'm really interested! + I believe they used hex editor to edit the ebr1 and ebr2 files! But I'm not good with hex editor. If you are, then I think you ll be able to modify them. Thanks.
