(04-11-2017, 10:30 AM)TLKiller I have a little problem, are you talking about the B3-A20 zip (second link of x3non's reply) because I downloaded the tools and unpacked the boot.img to get the file_contexts but when I reach step 3 I noticed there is no system.img in this zip Huh  (see attached screenshot)

no, the rom in the first link is what is been referred to as the "scatter format firmware" not the second
unpack the system.img from the first link

Ok, I followed the guide, everything went fine until step 5, I get error (see attached screenshot)
By the way I had to rename "system-sign.img" to "system.img" notice there is not a system.img on the first zip so I guessed I had to use that file
By the way with this recovery from B3-A30 now my tablet can go to fastboot mode, and I created a recovery.img installing official TWRP app on the working device, and I tried to flash this recovery.img using ADB and fastboot mode, it actually flashed properly but even after this it stills having the B3-A30 recovery, I don't get it, if I flashed the recovery from my working tablet, wich is the same model (B3-A20) why it stills having the bloody B3-A30 recovery! that makes non sense

A recovery from a lower build is sometimes unable to replace that of a higher build so that might explain this issue.
Try this technique @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-20497.html to unpack the system.img (requires a boot.img)

Ok I tried that technique with the first firmware but I get a weird error (see attached screenshot 1), I tried it 3 times, the last one with compatibility mode but keeps saying "THERE IS NO PROJECT IN WORK FOLDER CREATE PROJECT FIRST", that doesn't make sense because I already typed a project name as explained in the guide. I wonder if this problem is related to the "-signin" (see screenshot 2) because I always have to rename the file if not the tool doesn't recognize them. Or if it is a compatibility problem because my OS is windows 10 LTSB x64

The problem was from the way the system.img was packed

I suspect that firmware might be B3-A30 though .
What's the full file name?

Success! I extracted the img file, there are a lot of folders inside it; I attached the build.prop file you told me.
Yes, it is the B3-A30 firmware from X3non link, the and the full name of the zip is "Acer_Iconia_One_10_MT8163"
Now that we got the build.prop what's the next step?

I was right that its a B3-A30 firmware (ro.product.model=B3-A30). That would explain the error in stock recovery despite flashing the firmware. This means the hunt for the B3-A20 scatter format firmware isn't over

does that mean I would need to use the miracle box V2 58 to make the scatter from my working device?
The only problem I have with the B3-A30 rom is that the touchscreen won't respond, but I plugged a mouse and everything works fine even the camera, Isn't there a way to install the touch-driver in this rom?

The touch issue is at the preloader / lk level . While I could ask you to dump the preloader from the working phone to flash to yours, there's a chance it'll work and an equal chance the phone will get bricked

latest version of miracle box or CM2 should do just fine in dumping correct preloader + lk assuming the device you are dumping from runs on the same rom build as the bricked one.
but lets try something else
use the scatter file from the B3-A30 rom to readback preloader and LK from your working device using the guide @ https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-526.html

PS: to make the readback easier, before performing the readback
navigate to your SPft folder
locate options.ini file edit it using notepad
modify the value "ShowByScatter=false" to "ShowByScatter=true"
save the file then launch SPft and proceed with readback of only those two files
once successful, you should get two files ROM0 and ROM*

DON'T FLASH these files, instead zip and upload the both of them and post the link here lets take a look at them

I tried but I always get error 1004, I also tried compatibility mode, also this working device has a hardware problem on the USB so it is very hard to connect it properly.
But I even got the recovery of the B3-A20 device, I just need to flash it with a tool like TWRP official app, I think that might work, but the problem is that I was not able to root this B3-A30 rom, do you know a way to root it? I tried king root, kingo root, frama root, dr phone (trial) and other root methods I don't remember, I even tried with my computer with usb debugging and oem unlock too, but all this failed to root, any Idea? Oh and the fastboot mode works fine, that might help? By the way many thanks you all for your help, we haven't completely fixed it yet, but at least you found a way to make my device boot, I hope we fix it.
