Mtk devices suck big time really! Never faced any issues with Qualcomm  powered devices, unlocking those devices is a breeze. I've had some bad experiences with Mediatek devices in the past also.

Try flashing the stock recovery alone (not custom) and let me know how that goes

I'm able to flash just the stock recovery without any problems!
Btw, I've tried each and every different types of TWRP available for this device.

Alright. Nice to hear that. Thanks for the support Smile
For the time being, any ideas how do i lock my bootloader again?
With no root, I'm left with no IMEI, tried some tools like Maui Meta, installed cdc driver but for some reason it just doesn't detect my phone. Can't visit service center also with bootloader unlocked. I'm stuck in the middle of nowhere!

Try fastboot oem lock
That's if the bootloader is actually unlocked

Still no help, i dont know what is happening here, in fastboot mode it says FAILED (remote: not allowed in locked state) but in developer mode the oem unlock toggle is greyed out by stating bootloader already unlocked??? crazy!! I think the bootloader got messed up. Is it possible to just flash the bootloader thru sp flash tool? If yes then please guide me. This phone is driving me nuts now... Also i've read somewhere that the OTA updates relocks the bootloader by flashing the whole rom? Is that true?

Instead of fastboot flash recovery recovery.img , try fastboot boot recovery.img

This confirms that your Bootloader is locked

Then why it doesn't get unlocked when i run the commands "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock" ? I get the same error even after running these commands!
