Around last week Infinix brought yet anoda update to fix some bugs and i updated... So now my build number is

X557-H807AD-N-171110V163

I can't find the exact recovery to port with the build number... I tried making use of Philz recovery v68 but nothing happened on SP flash tool.. after clicking on download. Switched off the phone n inserted USB cord. Nothing happened even after about thirty minutes. .. Note: all vcom drivers were successfully installed.

When I removed the USB from my phone. An error came up saying.

"""Error 2005

Message: BROM ERROR: S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL (2005)

[HINT]: The device attempted to power on before SP flash tool could flash files to it."""

Am very sure My phone was off throughout the procedure..

Why is recovery in img format and not bin like the rest? Did you get it from an external source (not Miracle Box backup) or you renamed it?

Here's Philz @ hovatek.com/redirect.php?linkega.nz/#!JfRGkAYC!-c5EYBfqJcKdfxzsFWU_BptaKC5axdPHFDga426_ayE
Follow the technique @ www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-18027.html but use your Philz and preloader
Let me know how it goes

Hovatek ,

Its not booting into recovery.

I downloaded the Philz you provided. Extracted it into a new folder including the preloader I dumped from miracle box earlier on.
Launched miracle box. Selected "Write". Picked my device firmware.8th. Selected scatter file then proceeded to insert my phone (switched off) after clicking the start button. Phone was detected and it brought out a box to select which option I want to format. I selected both the preloader and recovery and OK. The flash was completed and Done.

Then I tried booting into recovery with Vol + and power button. The phone came up with the usual screen "Infinix powered by Android" and goes off immediately again.. I even tried flashing up to 3 Times successfully. But phone couldn't enter recovery. The phone boots up normally though..

So am thinking maybe it has to do with the recovery..

How can you be of help?
