[Development] How to use Magisk Manager & boot.img to root Android
(03-10-2018, 08:09 AM)vkalu02 Please, I downloaded a firmware that matches my build number but when I opened the file I saw an sc7720 instead of an sc7731c firmware. I took the boot.IMG file and made magisk create a patched boot image file.
I'm confused in flashing this because all the itel A11 I have seen in Nigeria is sc7731. Mine Is also sc7731.
Do I go ahead to flash this boot image file?
If not, how do I extract my own boot image file?
Miracle box 2.58 gives me " boot error id :1" error.
Please I need advise.

you probably got this "sc7720" in research download tool? if yes then its nothing to worry about. the name you see on top is usually autogenerated by whatever tool was used in creating the PAC
you can still confirm the build number of the firmware using the methods 4 or 7 at https://www.hovatek.com/forum/thread-16005.html
if it comes down to you having to backup from your device, then you'll need to use a hardware box not loader version
cm2spd would be preferred so you can create a PAC file backup
