(20-11-2019, 07:02 PM)Razor180 These terms "stock recovery" have become confusing to a novice like me, as i was led believe that taking the "recovery img" file from an offficial rom that is also installed on your device is stock recovery. When i say this in this case its very official rom i flashed myself that is currently running on my phone. Hence i assumed that there is no need to extract the recovery image from my device.
In saying that my intention for wanting twrp was to flash superuser to root and then create swap partition to speed up my device. However since magisk has already rooted this device my objectives are met.
Did followup on the link you gave, and on previous marshmallow build i did have to flash twrp twice which was a relief to know as a common issue.
(12-12-2019, 10:45 AM)Daireolas hello, thanks to the tool I was able to install twrp on my phone but when I go into recovery I don't mount the partitions, it puts everything 0.
I read that I'm not the only one that happened to him, how can I solve it?
(13-12-2019, 05:48 PM)zapacitu18 So, i got it ported on a Nokia 3.1 Plus (helio p22), it's working but when i got it flashed as boot (It doesnt have /recovery partition) it doesnt boot to system, only to twrp, what should i do?
(14-12-2019, 12:23 AM)X3nonYes, it is android 9. The problem for me is that it looks like nokia disabled the fastboot boot command, so if i try that, it doesn't boot to twrp. But if i flash it over boot patition, i can't patch the original boot.img, which i need for magisk, disabling dm-verity and other things ;c(13-12-2019, 05:48 PM)zapacitu18 So, i got it ported on a Nokia 3.1 Plus (helio p22), it's working but when i got it flashed as boot (It doesnt have /recovery partition) it doesnt boot to system, only to twrp, what should i do?
you need to flash back a real boot.img to boot your device into system. if the boot.img is on your device already then you can do this directly from twrp > install > install img. if not then flash using fastboot or any other means
if you don't wish to flash into boot partition, you can try the command "fastboot boot recovery.img" ; if successful, it should boot twrp without flashing and when you reboot, the phone will be able to go to system
BTW is your device currently android 9 OS?
