[Please help] Tecno P5 cannot boot into recovery

Hello friends, please I need help, my Tecno P5
cannot boot into recovery and cannot
factory reset. All started when I tried to
flash CWM recovery. Please help!

Follow this guide @ https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-455.html to flash cwm recovery to the phone. tick "to select boot from phone"

Thanks for the link. Please I have some questions: 1) Should my computer be connected to the internet? 2) which of the three options (USB connect, USB debugging connected, and Connect as USB storage) should I choose to connect the phone to the PC? and 3) Do I have to download a CWM recovery.img to my SD card?

1. No internet needed
2. Just connect after enabling USB debugging , dont select any of the usb options
3. No

I have downloaded mtk droid tools and pdaNet. After successfully installing the drivers, my computer could not opening mtk droid tools. please what should I do?

what error did you get?

I have downloaded mtk droid tools .zip, open it on PC, but when I open the zip, I'm unable to run it as administrator. I only see EXTRACT, RUN and another option. I clicked on run and the language was very strange and it's like my phone was not getting detected.

its a zip file. you need to extract its content to get the folder in it

HOVATEEEEEEEEK! GRACIAS! EVERYTHING IS FINE 100%. THANKS A LOT. Concerning the backup with mtk droid tools, am I to keep it or to delete and do a nandroid backup with CWM?
