cpu z dont show all cpu name
you can get full name just from scatter file name or in /system/build.prop ro.board.platform=xxxxxxx
if you dont have scatter what to do
download apktool (2mb) and use it as file explorer (others will not work) will find build.prop in root folder or /system/build.prop if showen open it as txt with txt viewer (must other wont work) you don't need root to do that
(03-05-2018, 10:37 PM)Nach18 Thank you very much Justin, unfortunately, it did not work... Bootloop i guess.
I show scatter file (downloaded from official website) and it called equal: "MT8163_Android_scatter.txt"
But I never thought that the TWRP could fail by not adapting to the proportions of the screen (maybe for being 4: 3?).
I know there are other tablets with the same processor (and I guess the same ratio) that have custom recovery (like the Teclast P80h), however, I could not get it to work on my tablet ...
(04-05-2018, 03:50 AM)justin_midlet sorry man i can't help you
this all my knowladge about porting
cpu exreemlly needed without it the ported recovery will not work and might carliv can't unpack it at all
i can't find any CWM & philz & CTR runing on MT8163 to port them
try this official cwm builder
you can install xpozed just from magisk here
(04-05-2018, 10:57 PM)Nach18 Well, what can you do? I still appreciate your help.
I think I've tried everything:
-Port Custom recovery of another tablet with the same processor
-Patch the boot.img with magisk
And in both cases it gives bootloop over and over again.
I think there is nothing else to do, this must be one of the few devices that simply can not be rooted, a real shame, but I do not know what else to do.
Anyway, thank you very much everyone for all your time and dedication.
